Yeah my bad.. there was a 2nd involved in habs trade. Everything was there until my phone decided to troll me and shutdown. Re-wrote the stuff but forgot about it. (long day and was getting late, went too fast).
Anyhow, I will now take your punishment and judgemental comments. |

Buffalo is not about to deal their franchise player in Cody Hodgson. They are currently debating whether to make him team captain and certainly not considering trading him. To trade Hodgson would be a grave error. |

To FLA- Cody Hodgson and Ryan Miller
For
To BUF- Jacob Markstrom, Ed Jovanovski, Nick Bjugstad and 1st rd pick
My Thoughts- Buffalo needs to get rid of the circus and from a lot of the stuff I've read, moving Miller and Hodgson is a good start to doing that. Neither guy seems all that happy there and they would both be nice fits in Florida, where they need a No. 1 goalie and a centre to replace Weiss. Buffalo gets a restart with Markstrom in goal and Bjugstad taking over the top 9 position for Hodgson.
Not a chance. Buffalo is not getting Markstrom and Bjugstad and a 1st. This is comical at best. I understand Jovo has a bad contract but it helps keep Florida at the floor. They don't need an old goalie downtrending and a discontent forward. This deal is ridiculous. |

That Florida deal would be the quickest acceptance in history if I was in charge on Buffalo's end. |

If Cody's up for team captain then what does that say about their team? They can't find another player with more character/experience?
Now I realize that the above statement can be used against me because my team made our goalie a captain and then tried to ship him out shortly after stripping it.
Oh the shame. |

Umm...No
Kevin is debating naming him captain.
If Cody was going to be the next captain of the Sabres, wouldn't they have him signed right now?
If you think a young player is important to your team going forward you don't nickle and dime them like they are with Cody, You do what you need to do to get them signed long-term. |

Darcy Regeir is the GM, I am expecting a trade to get Ed Jonvanoski for a 3rd rd pick and them listen to him say the team is rebuilding. |

I dont know where the discontent is coming from? They are in a negotiation at the moment Hodgson feels he is worth more than what Buffalo is offering, which happens all the time.
I dont make it out to be a huge deal like some are. |

Yes and Yes. I like Hodgson a lot. But If i am getting Markstrom and Floridas first. That first has a likely hood of being a top 5. As Buffalos wouild be a top 5 as well after the fire sale.

Plekanec is arguably one of the top second line centers in the league. He has two-way skills and is a top notch penalty killer. His value is undeniable and probably at the heart of trade discussions (if any). However, I don't think the Jets are ready to part with Evander Kane.
Rumors in Chicago are that they are still looking for a top second line center. Montreal might be looking for a defenseman, considering Emelin won't be back before December. Without knowing how healthy he'll be when he comes back, adding a classy defenseman like Brent Seabrook would greatly reduce the impact.
I'm not so sure that Montreal is looking to move anyone before the season starts. If they decide to go forward and trade players, Plekanec would be a good value in a transaction. |

Henrique's our next captain and we haven't signed him yet.
Because we're definitely signing him right? RIGHT?!?
Also that Florida trade is insane, they get fleeced. Take out the first round pick and maybe you could convince someone...keep in mind FLA's 1st rounders for the next couple of years will probably still be pretty high. Miller is on the downswing IMO. |

It would require more than Plekanec to get Seabrook.
